Latest Kitchen Acquisition (2007-08-15)
I'm not going back to my dark days, but I really do need a good digital scale for my bread making. I got KL to order a scale and a Silpat from Amazon Japan on a very late Saturday night and the goods arrived Monday afternoon. Wow, speedy service.
The new digital scale will eliminate any guess work measuring minute
amount of ingredients from now on, yay! You don't know the pain
of trying to estimate 3 grams from a crappy scale that has 10-gm
increment with a wobbly needle.
The biggest reason I got the silicon mat is not for its reusable
property, but the ease it'll provide when I knead dough (primarily
bread) on its non-stick surface. Plus, the Silpat will pay for
itself in no time with all the parchment paper I'm gonna save.
